Dad was always so proud of his roots in Brynaman and often talked about the joy he had learning to swim at the Lido in the 40’s & 50’s (he was a brilliant swimmer. Much better than me and my brother!). He spent his working life running the maths department at Cardiff University but his lifelong friendships with fellow pupils from Ysgol y Banwen and Ystalyfera were so important to him. He would have loved the idea of reopening the baths so we’d like to donate the collection made at his funeral to you and to wish you all the very best of luck!
