Join us on Saturday 20 June, from 10am-8pm for a day of conversation, wellbeing and creativity as we unveil our vision for the future of the Baths. Discover the latest project developments, meet the team making things happen, and take part in shaping what comes next. A festival-inspired programme of wellbeing and creative activities will run throughout the day, including a pop-up sauna, sound-bath, yoga, arts, forest school and circus skills workshops. From 5pm, Swper a Sgwrs: join us for a free community hot supper, followed by a presentation and discussion (book in advance). Come along and have your say – let’s make sure the refurbished Baths work for the whole community.
a day of wellbeing, creativity and connection
Kicking off with Brynaman Parkrun at 9am, the daytime activities will include something for everyone: with a warm croeso n’ol to Sauna Hut Wales, plus yoga, breathwork, a sound-bath and Tumble LindyHop, with art and forest-skills workshops from Black Mountain Print and Hiraeth y Goedwig, and Organised Kaos circus-skills on the field. Fun for all the family, with a strong emphasis on wellbeing and connection- with Côr Meibion Dyffryn Aman (Amman Valley Male Voice Choir) entertaining us. The Bath gates will be open so visitors can step inside, meet the project team, explore the emerging vision for the refurbishment and share your views on how the space should serve the community in future.
Swper a Sgwrs
Join us for a free community supper, presentation and conversation about the future of the Baths from 5pm, with free hot food from Spud Village and live music (booking essential). Will Judge from Rural Office, our project manager, has been busy transforming your feedback, ideas and all the research undertaken into a vision or ‘concept’ – giving us an idea of how the site might look and feel – which he’ll share with us in a presentation on the night. The concept work explores how people would move through and use the site, its structure and design, materials and finish. It’s an essential stage before any planning permission is submitted, and something needed by funders too – helping demonstrate how the project responds to community needs.
getting there
Parking on site is limited, so we encourage lift‑sharing, walking, cycling or using public transport where possible. Unfortunately access to the Baths is currently via steps only – making the whole site accessible for all is at the heart of our project.
can you help us?
We are looking for stewards to help during the day on 20 June and in the evening, and the following day – can you help? Get in touch! Email us at: hello@bathbrynaman.com
